- Open daily from 13:30 to 17:30
- For Parkrand learners only
- Lunch and snacks will be provided
- Homework is supervised
- Enrolment forms are available at the office.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME: (PREFECTS)
At Parkrand Primary School, our Leadership policy is taken from the State’s policy of cooperative governance. Learners have the opportunity to develop leadership abilities in a myriad of ways. In Grade 6, learners have the opportunity to serve as Grade R Monitors or Scholar Patrol Monitors.
Auxiliary monitors received the necessary training to perform their duties.
SCHOOL OUTINGS:
It is part of the school’s policy that learners be given the opportunity to extend their learing experience and, for this reason, classes are encouraged to make visits to appropriate venues. School Outings are charged at an additional cost.
SCHOLAR PATROL
Our Grade 6 learners are trained by the Ekurhurleni Metro Police, as Scholar Patrol Monitors in order to provide a service to our learners that ensures their safety when crossing the roads surrounding our school. They are on duty in the mornings and afternoons. Please obey commands and/or instructions given to you, by them. Do not park in areas which violate traffic laws.
EXTRA MURAL ACTIVITIES
All learners are encouraged to participate in the Extra Mural programme where possible. During the course of the year the following activities are offered:
- Athletics
- Netball (+Mini Netball)
- Soccer (+Mini Soccer)
- Hockey (Beginners as well)
- Cricket (+Mini Cricket)
- Tennis (+Mini Tennis)
- Choir
- Eisteddfod
