Newsletter – Grade R

13 February 2017

Dear Grade ‘R’ Parents,

Just a reminder that both Grade ‘R’ Educators are officiating at the Inter-Boksburg school Athletics on Tuesday 14 February, so please make sure learners are collected by 12h45 to enable our little ones to go before the rush at 13h00.

Congratulations to Molly Herbert, Jaydee Bartrum, Amohelang Maake and Gavaza Makhubela who are all on the ‘Build-a-Brick’ house.

Thank you for the wonderful response to our ‘Valentines’ photo-shoot orders.

Our Kidi-Sportz coach is selling ‘Valentine’ themed biscuits-beautifully iced. The Class Reps will forward pics and prices. If orders are placed, please collect personally before or after school as we would hate for them to break in your child’s file, en-route home.

Tuesdays Ballet, Sporty Girlz and Kidi-Sports lessons for last week were made up.

Learners have been issued with their Phys-Ed shirts, which must be worn with their navy shorts and Velcro sandals, every Wednesday. Please label ALL clothing!!

Chloé Bell has lost her jersey and Helynise Padayachee has another child’s golf-shirt. Their clothing was labelled, please check your child’s items of clothing.

On Tuesday, 14th February, we would like all our little Grade R learners to dress in red and white as we have a fun-filled programme planned for them. (No charge).

Just for this week – we will be swopping our Tuesday and Thursday as we will bake on Tuesday and homework can be handed in on Thursday.

Extra Activities will take place as per normal again this week.

Just a reminder that we no longer have ‘Anti Waste day’ on Wednesdays but ‘Charity.’

Our “Cupcakes for Hope” – children with cancer charity drive – is next Friday (24th February). All charity monies collected so far will go to this worthwhile cause.

Friday – will be normal sports Friday wear – R5.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the Valentines Razzle on Thursday, 16th February.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Reception Class Educators                                                    Mr B. Schunke (Headmaster)
